Book Boxes are made from real books that blend invisibly on the bookshelf or in the home. They are the perfect place to safeguard cash, jewelry, keys, credit cards, and small valuables with safety and convenience. They also make wonderful surprise gift boxes as presents for any holiday that fits any age group - children and adults alike!

The hollow book idea dates back to Victorian era in the 1800’s when they were often used to hide personal keepsakes and love letters. I decided to create my own version for modern use after seeing one in a Sherlock Holmes Mystery movie. I have been crafting them over 30 years now, finding that my clients have put them to many practical and imaginative uses in our modern age .

Book Boxes are not constructed out of wood or plastic but are made from actual books. Each has a custom fitted interior which is lined in a variety of decorative velvets and fabrics as seen in the photos on this page.
